Opening days and times may be affected by weather or if we are attending an event.

The Glengarry Community Hall has well cared for public toilet facilities, open daily 9am - 9pm, and a lovely Cafe which is open Tuesday to Thursday. - You won't go hungry in Invergarry!

Our Great Outdoors

Walk, Bike, Swim...

Glengarry, Glenmoriston, Fort Augustus and the Great Glen itself - all full of paths, trails and ways to get wet!

...and Relax!

Our friends Ben and Sarah run The Great Glen Sauna, located at the historic Bridge of Oich, a short distance from Invergarry. A great way to relax and restore - before or after a visit to the Crepe van!

Our Local Highlights

The route of the Great Glen Way follows the former Railway line at Invergarry, where you walk right past the former station. Since 2012, a dedicated group of enthusiasts have been restoring the station, including during 2 years of no public access due to forestry felling. The route is now open again, and access to the Museum restored. Impressive progress has been made with history being brought back to life. Track has been laid, engines run and a miniature railway has been even been installed. Take a look at their Facebook page and website for more info and for open days.

Glengarry Community Development Trust

Formally known as the Glengarry Community Woodland, their major project now coming to fruition is Glengarry Forest Cabins, which consist of six off-grid cabins nestled in the woods. One aim of this project is to provide ongoing income to fund projects including Community housing. The cabins will be a unique and beautiful place to stay in Glengarry and only a short walk to the trailer for a cheeky crepe!

Our Neighbours

Midweek Community Cafe & Glengarry Heritage Centre

The Community Hall operates an excellent Cafe inside the Hall during the season, run by volunteers. Their homemade soups and cakes are a highlight!

They are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

When the Cafe is open, you can visit the Glengarry Heritage Centre which is also in the Hall. It's well worth a visit, with interesting displays about the area's heritage and plenty of resources especially popular with people tracing family connections.

The Shinty Pitch

Our spot at Glengarry Community Hall is right next to the Shinty Pitch, which is called Craigard Park. Glengarry Shinty Club is very active in the community and field men's, women's and youth teams. Games are fast and exciting. There can be few pitches with such an impressive setting, with Ben Tee as a backdrop. If you stop by when a game is on, the home team wears green and gold!
