Events

We love being based at Glengarry Community Hall car park, it's a perfect location for us as we live locally and are part of this community. However, we may miss the occasional regular day in our spot, as we like to join in with some nearby events too.

Here's some of the occasions we enjoy being part of - and if you can't find us at the Hall, this might be the reason why.

Glengarry Highland Games

To be fair we don't go far for this one - just over to the Shinty Pitch! John helps out with the Games, organising and set up, as well as trading on the day. So it's a busy weekend. The Games are a great day out, with lots to see and take part in.  Well worth a visit.

30th August

Fort Augustus Sheep Dog Trial In Aid Of Cancer Research

It's great to be invited to bring the trailer along to this local event and offer sustenance to the two-legged participants! Wishing all the entrants and organisers good luck for a successful event for such a good cause.

12, 13 & 14th September

Rat Race - Coast to Coast

The competitors taking on this 100 mile challenge, cycle, run and kayak a route which takes 2 days to complete. Invergarry is the half way point, with the Shinty Pitch being a hub of activity for organisers and participants. John is looking forward to a second stint as one of the food vendors on site during Saturday arrivals, and will stay on for the Sunday morning with some breakfast options (Friday prep day). Let's hope for fine weather this year and good luck to all!

19th & 20th September

Private Event

John is looking forward to catering for a local family's celebration. Lots of prep to do, so Friday off for that, with the big day on Saturday.

Clean aprons and fairy lights at the ready!

Fort William Bike & Skate Park

Here's a shout out for this great facility in Fort William. John took the trailer along earlier this year for a Trash Free Trails event, which was a great success. He and the kids are keen skaters and bikers - 'SkateDad' John passing on his skills, so this was the perfect excuse to mix work and play. Whenever you visit the trailer, John will be delighted to chat about biking and skating anytime. If you are in Fort William, why not pay the park a visit? It's free, with donations welcome.
